    The Green Machine

Nice lids! I am finding my green lid is starting to become my favorite hat. I am wearing black slacks, grey shirt and a black and grey tie and adding in the green lid it added some much needed color!

    New member, here's my hat!

Fedoras are like peanuts, you can't stop at just one! Look at Ebay and Etsy, you might be surprised on what you can get without having to selling off a kindey to afford it.

    The Green Machine

I Picked this no-name brand up this weekend for a couple of bucks. It was crushed, dirty and bent all to hell and back. I took it home and spent a few hours with it on the stretcher and re-shaping it, kinda looks like a willow green whippet now and well worth the $5.00 I spent on it. The...

Titanic to Be Re-Released in 3D for 100th Anniversary

There are a long list of movies that should never be made into 3-D - should have never been made really. Pearl Harbor is another one for me.

Titanic to Be Re-Released in 3D for 100th Anniversary

So taking a crap movie, cranking it up to 4K, making it 3 -D is going to make it better? As Grand Pappy Dollar always said: "Ya can't polish a turd."

Being Our Vintage Best: How Ordinary Folks Can Inspire Us

The look on the guy's face that has the monocle is too funny!! All I can think is that this is going through his mind: "Wow! she is a cutie!!"

What pens are we carrying today?

Used those exact pens for two years at work. I started using them so folks wouldn't steal my pens figuring it was better than nothing (until I got a vintage FP), now I have a few coworkers that are using them. I still have a number of them in my desk and still like to use them occasionally.

    WW2 helmet with bullet hole

I can't begin to count the number of helmets I have seen that have a bullet hole in them. There was a local army navy store selling "german" helmets. Each one had a bullet hole through them. I have seen similar with US helmets. Give bubba a stack of helmets, beer and a fire arm and rounds...

What pens are we carrying today?

Like butter. I have never written with something so smooth. I thought the disposable ones I had were smooth but this thing is 300% better. In a short time it has made my hand writing a but neater (I think because I am paying attention to the pen more) John - thanks for the info!

What pens are we carrying today?

Up til Christmas I had been using disposable FPs at work, now I am using this: Sold as a 1930s Salz Brother's fountain pen. Who knows about accuracy of the age but the damn thing writes like a champ! 100% better than the disposable ones!

    who belongs to a Lodge

DB = Double Breasted Suit 6 to 1 = six buttons, with one button as a closure. I am going to go with the suit, I wear dress pants, shirt and a tie at work already so adding a suit coat or a suit is not that much of a step up.
