Our most recent 'jaunt'. Over 3oo miles in 3 days, from Paris to Angoulême, last month. Boy it was warm!
Ben was on a pre war (WW1!) Tapon, of Angoulême. And I rode a mid 20s Bruneau Durieux, a Brussels machine.

I really must check into my thread more often ...
Here is a little Jaunt we did this time last year, to Normandy again. Despite being in mid October the weather was unseasonably mild and we were in shirtsleeves most of the time.

Old single piece lightweight French work cap, deadstock. No wear or discolouration, perfect nic.
Small size, 56cm ( 6 7/8 for those that don't recognise Metric as a valid form of measurement)
I paid £15 for it about 10 years ago. I'll include postage if you are happy with that price, or make...
Bad luck Dean, thanks for letting us know! Another forum member has said he will take it via PM so I'll mark this up as SOLD. Thanks fellas!
Also, here's a photo of the new Talon zipper I've put in. The old Conmar was history and had a Lee puller on what was left of the old Conmar tapes.
Right, here are the measurements people

Across the waist is 20"
Sleeves are 24", from the top seam down to the bottom of the leather. (not the knit cuff)
And down the back, from the base of the...
Right, my dads old Cagleco Sportswear G1 is now up for grabs. I haven't listed it on ebay yet, I'll put it up on here and VLJ first.
Looking for £225. It's in good used condition. The incorrect little Lee zipper has now been replaced with a new repro Talon. It's incorrect as well, but looks a...
I'm very happy with the Pike Brothers deck jacket. To echo Ian, yes the arms are a little long, but I can live with it for now. The cuffs just feel a little wide, there is no taper in them.
I'm itching to stencil the back now with U.S. NAVY. I'm not sure yet how though.
My new Pike Brothers...
Random deck jacket search on ebay last night pulled this with 12 minutes left to run. I've been after one fo these for well over ten years now, but put it in the pipe dream file, as originals seem as rare as hens teeth, and the repro prices were well out of my league.
Anyway, this Pike Bros...
V. Poor photo of me at the track yesterday, sporting my deck jacket. It wasn't really cold enough. Our local velodrome is housed in a 1918 seaplane hanger at Calshot Spit. I thought it an appropriate setting!
Me and Ben on our excellent cycle tour to the Somme battlefields at the end of the summer. Our gear was loosely 'mid century', with a few modern comforts included to make wild camping a little easier, especially for this middle aged cyclist.
I chose to carry a fairly cheap three season sleeping...
