Nathan Yessler

Although I've been meaning to start an account here since Fall 2010, I haven't gotten around to it until now...

I'm a Communications major at Shepherd University and originally hail from Southern Maryland.

I grew up with old movies, and still carry a deep love for them; I love so many, but It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite. The list of favorite actors though, is too numerous to put on here.

I do like many newer movies and actors as well, but there's a special place for Old Hollywood that cannot be taken.

I've done a little bit of Colonial reenacting, and really loved it, but I've always been partial to 20th Century, 1930s and 1940s. I've been trying to get more involved with World War II reenacting, but my clothes are mostly civilian, since I can wear them outside of a reenactment, and really love doing so, just as normal clothes. Someday I hope to transition to a mostly period wardrobe; for now I'll have to deal with my back and forth between modern and period.

I'm involved with Ratio Christi, a Christian apologetics group that focuses on intellectual discussion. I enjoy discussion in general, be it on philosophy, culture, society, history, cinema, morality, fashion, style, etc.

Over the years I've browsed threads on here and always loved them, found them very insightful, and informative. I hope to now participate, and maybe even be directed as to where to find whatever period item I may be looking for.

Period Clothing, Dancing, Parkour, Cinema, Apologetics, History...
