Is it possible to get the back outer lining of a vest changed to a different color by a tailor? How much would something like that cost?

You won't break the hat, however, you risk getting the hat dirty over time. Same goes for the brim too I guess but you could also misshapen the pinch, which isn't the end of the world as you can steam it back into place.

I personally wouldn't. You're hat will smell like a flowery mess. I don't really have any cited reasons why I say no, my gut just says that.

Agreed. I've never seen him in a dress hat so if he wore one his image would be thrown off. It would be the talk of the town. It would probably boost hat sales through the roof but it ain't happening.
