    Show off the sports coats.

Who made that one? Looks like something RRL or one of the Japanese repro brands would do.

The Thread to Display Your 1940s Suits

Yes, the collar could stand to be raised a bit. The shoulders are just at the borderline of fitting/being too small, but I think it'll work once I have some alterations made.

The Thread to Display Your 1940s Suits

1945-dated suit made by a local tailor here in Louisville. Needs a couple tweaks and a couple holes repaired, but other than that it's just about spot on.

The Fedora Lounge Guide to Union Labels

Well, as with all union labels, it could very well have been a case of old labels laying around a tailor's shop and getting used past their end date.

The Fedora Lounge Guide to Union Labels

Thought this was pretty remarkable: a union label in the same garment as a label dated 1916, which both makes it unusually old and unusually exactly dated.

HSM Archives - 150+ years of tailoring history

Styleforum member jefferyd, who is a tailor and pattern maker currently working for Hart, Schaffner, and Marx, just posted a teaser of some amazing suits and garments from the HSM company archives. Some predate the company, which was founded in 1887. Hopefully more and better images are to come...

This is why I like J. Peterman

I expect they know who their main customer base are, what they like, and are marketing accordingly.

After a buyer didn't pay, I've relisted this and dropped the price significantly to get rid of it. Take a look!
