I'm going to live in the states next year, and I have about 20 hats that needs to be stacked away somehow. I haven't got any hat boxes, and I need an advice on how to best store them for a year without use? Is there any sort of plastic or something that they should be wrapped in? :eusa_doh...
Between which years is that period of 50 years? My thoughts when I saw it at first was 40's, but what you mean is that it might be both older and newer, because Europe didn't have distinct eras of style?

I have inherited an old top hat, and it is a bit too small. Is there any way you can stretch or widen a top hat? Probably there is not, but i had to ask![huh]
I see. But can I make a template of my head size in wood (just a bit smaller for the first stretch) and the steam the hat and pull it over the template for drying, and after that pull it over a slightly larger template for the last stretch?
