I spent some time away from home for the 4th of July weekend and ended up picking up another J-24! This one came from the original owner’s grandson. His grandfather bought the jacket new, wore it many years while riding, and passed it on to his son when the jacket no longer fit. His son was a...
I’m on vacation and haven’t been able to respond to all of the recent comments but I still encourage the conversation within this post. Thank you all for your insight!
Once I am home, I will do my best to post some other things and hopefully continue the conversation.
I just read the post about the J-82 and belt and I can see the concern. As stated before, I haven’t posted on the forum before and am doing my best to learn the ropes.
I hope that I have explained myself well enough in previous comments to clear up the confusion!
I’m not sure if you saw my reply to a previous comment, but I did have a general idea of the value of the jacket. I knew it was worth enough for me to buy it for what it was listed for. I simply wanted a little more insight into its true value. Thanks to a couple of kind folks, I now have a...
That’s unfortunate when speaking about the other thread. With that being said, I do my best to be as respectful as possible no matter who I’m dealing with.
And thanks for checking with the seller! Honesty is something I take very seriously and I’m one to keep to my word.
Hopefully people can...
“Cutting profits” to send more money to the original owner doesn’t make anyone a bad flipper. If one thinks so, they haven’t spent enough time “flipping”. Dealing in vintage clothing isn’t all about “flipping”, that is only part of the battle. There is plenty of research that goes into learning...
The leather label proves it to be an earlier model but the double sided label shows that is not one of the very earliest models. Those were single sided tabs with a leather label. Either way, it’s a fantastic jacket and a great score for $30!
Thank you for the kind words, they mean more than you know. I’m doing my best to navigate the forum as I’m not necessarily familiar with the format, but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it with time. I’ll do my best to learn more and continue posting as I go along!
Making a first impression and being judged are two different things. I’m more than happy to have a conversation with any and/or all of you! However, it’s difficult to do so when being spoken to in such a condescending tone. I’m doing my best to share more of my collection, the majority of which...
I’m not sure what constitutes this as “the wrong reason” but feel free to explain!
There’s so much hatred on a post about a jacket and it baffles me. Petty qualms are just dividing people further.
