Sounds like you and your husband need to have a chat to find out what's going through his mind!
As said by others, there's also not just one 50's style...besides the usual glamour girl or collegiate look, you could go for the beatnik/bohemian look that's way more casual than the stereotypical...
I finally saw Seven Psychopaths last night. A very Hollywood movie, so I wasn't surprised that it wasn't more popular with non-Hollywood people. But I enjoyed it for its take on Hollywood film-making, and the casting was great.

I'm first and foremost a Warner Bros. fan, hands down. I can appreciate other studios, but nothing compares to Golden Era Warners for cartoons. The sensibility, the economical use of drawings, the humor...just so good! I can't stand to watch most modern animation, but will still laugh like a...
I really enjoyed Mob City. It's a nice blend of fact and fiction, and compared to the super-rich color of many recent attempts at 1940s Los Angeles, I thought this version was more down-to-earth than most. I also have been able to keep track of the storyline and who's who, which sometimes in...
I have been LOVING Mob City, and for once I haven't had any trouble keeping track of who's who! I really like the meshing of fact and fiction, and the attention to detail in regards to wardrobe, hair, and sets have been way above what I would expect for a basic cable show.

Funny thing, I was talking to a friend last night who loves Disneyland, and once was able to get into their exclusive restaurant, Club 33. She said basically that one would expect everyone to be dressed to the nines, but nope, they were in shorts and flip flops! These people obviously have money...
I'm glad this topic got resurrected!
In October, my husband and I agreed to not eat out at restaurants or order delivery food for the month. This isn't as big a deal for me as it is for my husband, because I'm used to taking my lunch to work and can forage for myself with whatever food is in...
I also wear red lipstick almost every day. I don't think I have greater confidence, but I do feel a little more put together no matter how slovenly my clothes are! :D
Fish oil and vitamin C are great for the skin. I also take a multi-vitamin, gingko-biloba, and glucosamine to cover what my almost-daily salads don't.

I was walking around Burbank the other day and noticed that Besame now has a storefront on Magnolia Blvd. near a bunch of other vintage shops and stores. I don't know if they moved from their other location or if they're expanding, but I'm excited to be able to check out their products before...
Sad thing is, and I'm sure it's been covered to death here but it's worth bringing up again, but when fast food is cheaper than real food thanks to subsidies, the poorer people end up losing health-wise in the long run.
Experience, a college degree, and they'll try you out with an unpaid internship. How is anyone supposed to support themselves with those requirements?!
I have found that when styling my hair via curling, etc. it's better to not shampoo my hair every day. If you can test out what your hair does when it's not shampooed every day and see what happens!
