I measured my head a number of times, as did my wife. The measurement was then sent with the order. The resultant hat was so tight I could hardly get it on. Hence the thought that having my head measured in a shop would be the best way forward. The same hat bought in a shop I could get to, or...

After much careful measuring I purchased one on line from Christy's via Hornet Hats. When delivered it was far too tight. Can someone help? Should I order the next size up, or go to a shop to be measured (before ordering again on line where the prices are about 50% of the shop price!)

I did measure very careful, so too did my wife, before placing the order! I think that I will have to take your advice and go to a shop and be properly measured. Unfortunately I will still have to bear the cost of returning the item. I do still want to "flatten" the brim. Many of the homburgs I...

the hat finally arrived. After waiting more than a month it was too SMALL! I will persevere and get one the right size, i am surprised though by how much the brim curls up. Is there any way I can flatten the brim or substantially reduce the curl of the brim without ruining the hat?

How much do I admire that hat. I have a homburg but the brim curls quite markedly at the sides. I note that your brim is almost flat. Is there a way of "flattening" the brim on a homburg?

Josh, Love the hat, love the look. Ordered a Homburg myself and am awaiting delivery. How did you bash that one? I can see the side dents. Is it a teardrop crease in the crown?

In order to protect against the very unlikely eventuality of someone else picking up my hat by mistake, where and how is the best place to mark a hat with my own name?

mine of advice Just want to say how fortunate I am to have found this site which is a mine of information, support and advice. Still waiting for delivery but now already considering a second purchase! Still concerned about applying a centre crease though, as the web site shows the hat in...

    Hat Virgin

Despite being a hat virgin, I have decided to take the plunge and purchase a Homburg on line. I am now left with so many questions even before I have received it. Please would someone be kind enough to put me out of my misery. 1. When delivered, how do I best make fine adjustments to the size...
