You can make out where it didn't fade because of the tape. Just a bit over to the right and just above the ribbon. Makes me want to put something between the raw leather and the hat so it doesn't get ant worse!
Just picked up this Dobbs Cross Country and it also has the discoloration. This hat has no liner, and the discoloration is the exact width of the leather sweat, which is wider than the ribbon. The hat is in beautiful shape, 1950s judging from the reorder tag. I think the raw side of the leather...
Check out the "radio attic" online. Lots of great original radios, most restored, recapped etc... Some sellers will add an unobtrusive jack in the back that will allow you to plug in your ipod or computer so you can stream music through a beautiful old tube radio. I have one and it sounds great!

Still $100.00 for the Campdraft plus shipping.
This is a brand new Campdraft in Silverbelly which just doesnt suit me. Just received a late 1950's Royal Stetson Open Road I like much more, so the CD has to go!
I've been looking for a Knox Vagabond, Resistol San Antonio, Stratoliner, or Open Road clones, all of which are difficult to find...
