    1950's Hubley Atomic Disintegrator replica

WOw...what would it cost to make one of these? I've always loved that design...

    Mad Men Inspired Church Office

Updated with some in line pics. Also, it's tough to tell, but in the pics there's a giant boxed in area coming off the wall (it's covering a massive air duct). Behind the wall in the little hidden alcove is where all the modern stuff like the computer, surge protector etc is. I like it because...

You can be assured that in the next version of these photos, that which you have suggested will be done! :) Thanks for the help.

http://macrossmaster.imgur.com/all Hope this works like I think it will. Looked for the original thread from 4 years ago but couldn't find it. Here's the final version, minus a few changes. What do you think? And the necessary computer...is there a better or more appropriate place?

Available Now: Where to find Golden Era Products Currently in Your Town!

Just thinking about this the other day: what commonly available products/items are unchanged since the old days that people could possibly be missing by not knowing their availability? I'll start with a list of a few things that are definitely vintage and mostly unchanged. Toiletries: 1...

    Skills For "Living The Era"

I'm so glad it works. I know it sounds ridiculous, but each time I click this thread and see that timer, I think anxiously "But did it work? DID IT WORK!?!" LOL. Glad it helped out.

    The Age of Entitlement

I've only seen Lizzie tackle this issue, and gnaw on it like a bone, but she's absolutely right. It's as ugly and evil as racism. Stick to your guns. I was writing a sermon today on Matthew 7:1-5: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be...

Are you ever tired of explaining why you live or dress the way you do?

For a country that values going your own way, living on your terms, we sure have a lot of folks not taking advantage of that. My own personal view is that if I want my bedroom/house to look like 1954, I'm taking personal advantage of hard won rights men and women died for. Sure it's not freedom...

    Rugby Ralph Lauren to close-

There are 40% off coupons circulating. Somehow I am on their list, and got one. I tossed it.

    Canvas Sports Shoes

I have to caution everyone when it comes to the PF Flyers reissues. They run half a size too small. I wear a 9D, pretty much middle of the road foot, not extra wide, not narrow, straight on 9. A 9 1/2 was the one that fit me, and even then the last was too narrow and the toebox was a prison...

    Debacle On 34th Street

If they put 15% of their effort into looking like and merchandising like Miracle on 34th Street, I'd save every dime for a year just to travel there and buy everything I needed for a year. Suits with high armholes, summer hats, gloves, you name it. Course a time machine would do nicely too...

    Pocket Knife

I used to carry one, quit after 9/11, then started up again a few months ago. Still takes me a second to think "Oh yeah, I've got my knife on me!" and it solves problems every day. Truly a must-have for the lazy who don't want to hunt down scissors constantly.

    Wearing vintage at home.

My wardrobe is vintage inspired but not vintage itself. Khakis and short sleeved linen/cotton collared shirts (think 50's dad wear) most of the time. Timeless shirts - light blue, dark blue, red gingham from Brooks Brothers, etc. Khakis for most of the time, then woolen dress pants for business...
