While I'm trying to sell my Vanson Chopper I thought I'd try to sell this one as well. Although the reason is mostly the same, ie the jacket is too small... the reality is I could easily keep this one and break it in nicely. The reason for sale? I just don't wear it and I want a custom Vanson Chopper that fits just right because I LOVE my Vanson... but I'll need to sell both to pay for the custom Vanson route.

Here is the text of the ebay auction:

The jacket is *ALMOST* new, I purchased it while in New York on vacation this year (April 2016) at the Schott NYC factory store in SoHo right down on Elizabeth street. I have only worn it a few times, probably less than 5. Seriously... this jacket is almost new. I have the two tags that came on the jacket and the post card that came with the jacket at the store. The jacket was $790 new (I didn't pay tax since it was shipped to me directly after purchasing it in the store) but I really just want to get $640 so I can get another motorcycle jacket before the cold weather hits!

I'm selling it because it's just a LITTLE too small for me and I just can't wear any layers or anything other than a tee-shirt or dress shirt under it. The picture is me wearing the jacket with only a tee-shirt. I'm 5'8", 185lbs and have about a 44" chest for reference.

If you ever wanted a new Schott 618HH but didn't want to spend $790, you can get this practically new jacket for $150 less! PLUS I'll ship it to you anywhere in the continental USA for FREE.

How would you rate the HH on this jacket ? Looks like it fits you well.........nice jacket!! If your a 44 and it fits you like that......it's too big for me....i'm a 42. This jacket must run on the big side.

Well to be frank I have zero experience with horse hide but for this jacket. So I can't compare... But the leather is soft, shiny and very supple. Much lighter than my Vanson comp weight jacket. It's really nice, but the half belt style is what keeps me from wearing this often. If I can't sell it??? It goes to a tailor to have the half belt removed!

The pictures are somewhat misleading, they LOOK great... Perfect in fact... But looking good and mobility are two separate things indeed!

That being said its quite livable even being a bit small. This particular cut of Schott jacket has both the action back and the underarm footballs plus somewhat larger cut arms. All of which allow a better mobility than the other Schott jackets (I've owned a 626 in a large and this is tighter in the chest but looser in the arms and shoulders.

Very good points above about priorites in a jacket to be used for riding! It may indeed look nice (and it does) however if you are not comfortable in and with good range of motion, it's not valuable for you to keep it. I will say the horsehide *may* soften up some as it breaks in, however it's not going to be excessively soft no matter what you do.

Why did you buy the Perfecto if you don't like the belt? It's like... The belt is what makes this style.

I liked it. Pretty much the reason. I just find the belt is not to my liking anymore. I have definitely decided I like either fully detachable belts or side cinches better.

Bumpity bump bump!

I've added a few pictures to the eBay auction too... I've got pit to pit measurements (both front and back to the SAME SEAM) because the way the jacket is cut I thought it could be pretty relevant. I also added a picture of the serial number tag in the pocket.
