Hi All
after long negotiations I buy it ! I am very happy with this because jacket fits me perfectly It is goat skin
A great jacket despite the passage of years is in excellent condition, the skin is soft and thick;

And info Mr HPA Rep . It Man who discovered the secrets this my jacket
Thanks Mr HPA Rep

It's an older ELC RW 1401 A-2 made from russet goatskin. The zipper is a repro but the slider is vintage. This A-2 could be from the original series of limited-edition RW 1401 A-2's we offered up until fall '97. If you look inside the sleeve lining, most likely on the right sleeve, there may be a number inked on the sleeve in black indelible marker around the elbow area or so. The jacket appears to be numbered in the 200's (out of 350) and it's a size 44 Short.
see for yourself;;)

Best regards

Ah okay. Wasn't even aware there were maroon knits on Rough Wear. I though it was just on late contract Dubows.

The leather looks great! Thanks for this update and the acknowledgement! I am always happy to help, and this is indeed a treat to see a blast from the past!!! Egads, that was 20 years ago or so. I think of myself as a kid when looking back. It's a bit strange to see those inked-on numbers in the sleeve in my handwriting. And what a journey this A-2 has made!

Good health, my friend, in wearing this for the next 20 years!

Those knit parts definitely look replaced, which isn't a surprise in the course of 20 years or so. The waistband is longer than it would have been and the ribbing is too wide, and, of course, the color is not even remotely close. Please take a look along the zipper and see if you see signs of the stitching being interrupted. I think I do see different stitching and thread color and at the bottom 5" or so along the zipper, which is a clear sign someone did the knit replacement through this area.

Hi All
Hi mr HPA Rep

Respectfully mr HPA , but you can not sew waistband longer or shorter only what is the intended place ,only just as much.. Ribbing can only be thicker or thinner, the width is fixed and unchangeable (Please see the last two images, fingers ; from < > to) The width waistband could not be other) thickness so
Otherwise is with cuffs can be sewn longer or shorter because in this case, only circuit of the sleeve is fixed ;)

it is true , cuffs and belt have been replaced due to age, years of wear .Jacket lay in the closet a long time unused .First , oryginal pullers ate mole unfortunately:D
Some pictures jacket on me:cool: The jacket is rigid , with the passage of time will fall into place on me;)

I am no fan of tags or patches...KIS ( keep it simple)...
In case you want to resell because of whatever circumstance...better no patch no tag.
This is my one dime opinion...

It true , jacket does not restrict movement. While lifting his hands up jacket no pulls on his back and jacket does not rise to the top just keeps belt

Sorry I'm a big fan of patches,
I do not foresee resell my great jacket;)
Fair enough.!
