    I have one pair, I wore them dancing and the heel lift caught on a floorboard, and came right off! The bartender had duck tape so I got through the evening. I've since glued it back on. The heel lift is hard plastic, the soles are a plastic composition material.

    The best way to tell would be to test a few fabrics. You want something that will give enough body and hold a press, be not be too thick.

    It would take a great deal of patience, but I think you are meant to lay tissue over that and trace out the pieces. Wow it looks more like a roadmap!
