Hello,
the wife and I are considering a second fridge for the holidays due to guest coming over. What parts are out there for 30-50's Fridges like shelves, gaskets etc.? I know the original 'freon' is poisonous if it leaks-one reason it will stay in the garage.
Thanks,
Mike
Hello,
I searched but did not come up with anything about the quality this company offers. Has anyone delt with them and their quality? I know there is a thriving 30/40's market in Japan and some of their stuff looks pretty good just was looking for input.
Thanks,
Mike
Ok, just moved into our new house (1967) and need to store my hats and shoes in the office. I have some wall space and a closet that is already taken with antique clothes. Any ideas on how to store / display the hats?
Thanks,
Mike
Hi All,
We just bought a 1905 four square house in Bellingham and will turn to the Lounge for help over the years. It looks to be fairly original but we will have questions about the woodwork style, colors appliances etc. as we move in and fix her back up. Fortunately, a lot of our antiques and...
It is just around the corner. The Art Deco Society of California is finally allowed to hold its Gatsby picnic. We will see how it looks this year, my club has three Model A's going and I will take lots of pics and post them here. Hopefully, that will brighten peoples day up a bit.

Hello,
need some help here. I was at a swap meet today and the wind took my hat and threw it into some greasy parts. What if anything can I do for cleaning? It probably should go to a shop for other things as well. But what about right now as far as ‘pre treating it’?
thank you,
mike
Hi All,
I just got this OD overcoat hoping to use it for some period clothing with my car. It looks like an interwar jacket but the buttons are not correct. There is no makers tag in it other than the triangle sticking where I think it was. So I am thinking (hoping) it is a civilian type jacket...

Hi All,
just wanted to say that I had a more or less vintage wedding on Sunday. Hopefully this is a small bright spot in your year. It is a big bright spot in mine as I married the bestest girl out grade. Who is also into the art deco scene. The clothes, cars and music are period at least.

I need to make some minor repairs to a suitcase. There are rips in the leather that need tending to so I thought now is a good time. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good leather glue?

Hi all,
I just bought a pink/white 'Path finder' ice chest from the 50's (I will upload a pic when I get home). I know it is just outside of the Lounges time line but I need some help. It is missing the little drain cap and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Also, It could use a new...
Hi all,
Need some help here. I just got the wife an antique typewriter desk. Well, whomever owned it previously took out the mechanism and secured the top permanently. Well, now she wants it function correctly. Anyone know where I can get the mechanism? Looked on eBay and Etsy already...
Hello,
What is the best way to clean birds eye maple? My side table had something spilled on it at some time. It was something like a juice with some solids in it. It will need a very mild scrubbing with some water type liquid to remove the stuff.
Thank you,
Mike
Hello,
I need your help, I have some hats that need some repairs and cleaning. Well, nobody either is open or they will not repair hats that they don't make. I am not in a hurry with these, any recommendations?

Hello,
I will be moving soon and need to get rid of two items.
1) 1953 Gaffers and Sattler stove works great with two exceptions. One burner needs to be lit manually and the broiler needs a new pilot tube and tray-$100
2) single basin double wide cast iron sink from 1948. In really pretty...
Hi All,
I just proposed to the GF and as of 25 Oct. we are engaged! So we know we want a period type wedding as it will have my Model A club involved. We were thinking of having it at the Gatsby Picnic held every year in Oakland, Ca so there will be lots of people that are dressed up and period...
I didn't see a thread for Art Deco clocks. If there is one please merge or delete. Also move if not in the right section.
I went antiquing this weekend and picked this little gem up. A 37/38 "Rose Iris" Telechron clock. For some reason I have thing for Art Deco clocks. So post pics of your clocks!
