Due to unforseen circumstances, I will be listing several of the vintage dresses and shoes in my collection. I wanted to post them here first, for at least two days before I put them on eBay, because I know and like the people on here so much, and want to give you all first pick. All the clothes...
I saw a behind the scenes special of this shoot last night on television, and wanted to share with the members of this community since the cover is a very heavy throwback to the 1940's/1950's.
ETA as of 2/7/2008: Completely updated with full scans/pictures!!!!

I just stumbled across this, and thought it was too good not to share. I think everyone here can relate to at least a couple of these "lessons". If you have any more of your own, please contribute! :)

I thought this would be a good alternative to the "Which actor annoys you the most?" thread, and interesting to boot. It may seem silly, as of course it's obvious that somewhere, someone will dislike an actor. This is more to see if there are any actors/actresses generally regarded as quality in...
I thought this would make for an interesting topic. What, in your opinion, triggered the drastic change in society as a whole from the Golden Era standards to what we now experience today? Was it the way music pro/re- gressed? Movies? Fashion? Technology? Just interaction as a whole? Do you...
To those of you who collect, what is the age range of your wardrobe? What is/are your oldest item(s)? How good a condition are they in?
For the rest of your wardrobe, which decade or era do you have the most of?
My oldest item is an 1895 blouse, that is actually in fairly good condition...
Simple enough.:)
1. John Gilbert & Greta Garbo
2. Fred & Ginger
3. William Powell & Myrna Loy
4. Nelson Eddy & Jeanette MacDonald
5. Janet Gaynor & Charles Farrell
6. Katherine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy
:)
Feel free to elaborate though, with your favorite movies starring them...
This movie came out in 2003, and I actually never got around to seeing it, because I believe it never got a wide release, and my city, while not the dinkiest place, only shows foreign/independent movies if they became fairly well-known. Also that was the year Lord of the Rings was still in full...
And that's why I don't understand why this kid isn't famous yet. I was given a heads up on this fellow through a friend.

Apologies for the clutter, I was just so excited to take pictures. :o :)
This isn't to do with libraries per se, but the contents of it, and I was actually contemplating posting a whole new thread regarding this, but decided against it for fear of posting it in the wrong section. But anyways, how I digress. I came across this wonderful little site the other day...
I sure hope this is the proper section for this article. I just thought at least some others would be able to appreciate and get a chuckle out of this.

The Silent Crisis...
Didn't see anything mentioning this movie either, and decided to bring it up.
Anyone else seen it? It's definately a top contender for one of my favorite modern movies, which, let me tell you, are very few and far between.
It's just a brilliantly done psychological thriller, very atmospheric...
Well, I've looked back many, many pages and I couldn't find anything on this, so I'm taking a chance and going ahead.

I've never been good at analyzing films, save on a few occasions, but I know when I like a movie. And that's the story for Down With Love. True, it's not Golden Era...
The English title of this movie is Perfume:The Story of A Murderer, and apparently it's been out in Europe for some time, but is just coming to America as far as I know. By description, I personally am highly intrigued, though I had not heard of it before, nor even read the book on which it is...
