Felt hats in summer..
I also always wear a hat outside. Where I live it is frequently over 100 degrees and hatless is not an option. I have a Panama with a 3" brim, but when I want a wider brim, I wear a canvas Bailey. Like this one: -

Panama Weather
I've been following the great Panama threads of late. I am not able (alas) to buy a Borsolino or a Montecristo but happily I like Bally hats. We were at my local hatterie in Nevada City (The Hat Shoppe, great shoppe!) and I bought the Bally pictured here. and here i am wearing it i love... -
