    Stetson Going Hipster?

Hipster really does not mean anything anymore, the idea of hipster has become so mainstream at this point it is no longer hipster. When you see large corporations marketing to "hipsters" you know it is the end of the idea having any underground, indie, alternative credibility at all. At this...

    Need hat advice

You cannot find a new fur felt hat for anywhere around $50. At that price your choices are a new hat made out of wool or getting lucky and finding a fur felt hat in a vintage or antique store etc. I personally would never buy a wool hat the primary reason being they shrink when wet. So if you...

    Need hat advice

Yes I believe people were smaller in general in those days so there were far more what we would consider smaller sizes made back then so there are more available today. Also people are a bit larger today many more men around these days with size 7 1/4 - 7 5/8 heads so not only are there less...

    Need hat advice

Buy vintage if possible, vintage hats are far superior to anything made today, if you wear a smaller size like a 7 or 7 1/8 you should be able to find plenty of hats on eBay for little money, if you wear a larger size it will be more difficult to find anything. Keep in mind that newer hats even...

Anyone know anything about this hatmaker Daquino?

Just an FYI for those who don't make hats, it is extremely difficult to find quality ribbon in different colors, it may not be possible to find the exact color you are looking for, grays are particularly hard to find. I have been trying to find ribbon for binding to match silverbelly felt for...

All You Need to Know About Hat Etiquette

I do not intend to offend in any way and I respect the opinions of others but I have always wondered why it is necessary to remove a hat in a restaurant? What is so offensive about a person at a table in a hat?

    I need some HAT help!!!!

I doubt you will find a new hat with those dimensions, look for a vintage hat on eBay, perhaps a variation of the Dobbs 20 or 15. Look through the Dobbs Diner thread here and you will see several hats that look similar to the Redford hat.

    Would This Hat Fit Me?

If I ever want to see all of the new Stetson's coming out soon I will probably have to do that, I went in a local hat store and they did not even know Stetson had new hats coming out or what an open crown hat was.

    Would This Hat Fit Me?

I would visit Delmonico's if I lived anywhere near them, that is good advice. I have never been to the store but I have dealt with them online and over the phone and their customer service and knowledge of the current hat market are second to none.
