I've posted this one before, but I'm wearing it today and thought I'd post it "in action":
1945 Omega "bumper" automatic. 18k yellow gold case.
Banda custom alligator strap with 18k yellow gold vintage buckle (not seen):
Thanks everyone. I like them. Seems like I only wear monks in unusual configurations. I have this pair, then I also have a pair of brown suede AE Moras (wearing them right now as a matter of fact).
Cookie, these are recent offerings. Bought them last year. Likely still part of the BB line.
Here are mine:
Can't wait until summer so I can get these babies back out of hibernation. They're great with linen pants.
These are BB Peals. I have the double monk, but they also come in wingtip. I'd like to have a nice wingtip pair, but I don't think that I'd go for two of basically the...
Mi Esposa and another couple are planning a trip to LA in May. My wife's brother has a lounge act at the Cicada Restaurant in downtown LA on Thursday nights. We're coming in to see his show then generally cavort and look for trouble the rest of the weekend.
Hard to answer that question because none of my trousers have the metal fastner. They all still use buttons.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. All my trousers have this. Please disregard this inane post.
+1. One of my pet peeves when I go out is seeing couples dressed:
She = Lovely dress & high heels.
He = Untucked striped shirt, jeans and square toed shoes.
However, I can't imagine wearing "matching" outfits. Just not for me. I'd be too afraid of a giant beer can falling on my head...
My brother-in-law. Not famous (yet), but working:

Also does lots of commercial work. Has starred in commercials recently for ReMax, Circuit City, Kia, Harrah's Casinos. Has upcoming commercials for Coke Zero...
+1. Also avoid if you carry a magnetic money clip. Sometimes even your computer monitor can have a magnetic field that can magnetize the hairspring.
Beyond gaining time it can simply lock up and not run at all (which is what mine did).
I suppose that the most important thing is that you are happy with the fit. However...:) one last thing and I'll shut up about it.
Not sure where you've gotten the idea that well dressed guys from a certain era wore their clothes too baggy, but I'd suggest that you do a Google images search...
:eusa_doh:
Oh, thank God!
I would say that it is a bit too big everywhere. You are a thin guy and the suit makes it look like you borrowed you big brother's clothes. To make it fit you you need to (at a minimum) get some taken out of the body (waist & chest). The sleeves are WAY too...
Sorry. I didn't mean to put you to so much trouble. :o
Your piepan and mine are nearly identical in age and composition then. I suspect they are the same caliber movement, though I don't exactly remember what mine is I think it's a 561 (it has the semi-quick set date function, not the...
Really? That's interesting. I hadn't realized that the Connies combined the onyx stick markers and the date function quite as early as '57. Most of the '50's pie pans I've seen have the triangular markers or the sticks without the onyx inserts. I would have guessed more like mid-60's. You...
Here's two or three from my collection:
Left: 1967 Omega Connie Pie Pan. 18k rose gold case. Original dial, crystal and crown.
Right: 1946 Omega Bumper Automatic. 18k yellow gold case. Original dial, original crystal and replaced Omega NOS crown.
1923 Waltham open face dress pocket...
