Sell it to the only guy that is begging you to do something "a bit over and beyond" for him. I ship across our border all the time and there is only a bit of extra paperwork to do really. It will be your good deed for the day.
I'm with you here for sure. I have done the same with my wife - but just once.
I can't figure it out, I think women look great in quality vintage mens fedoras. A large crowned, center pinched Homburg, worn low on the brow, is extremely hot on women.
Love the hat! Your signature states you are a 6 7/8 - certainly one of the dream sized heads when looking for pristine condition vintage fedoras. You sure can get more modern customs made for yourself in the $300 range - but holy cow doing a search on Ebay for vintage in your size brings up a...
"Sleeves don't work for me" - can you explain please - would not want to buy a jacket that had non-working sleeves - please tell me why they don't work, the issue may effect others as well.
New jacket - why not just return it for one that works or for a refund?
Thanks
Not exactly what you are looking for, but close - but a very nice and rare vintage Stetson - take a look.
For the sake of ease and timeliness I have posted it to my Instagram account - Google search Instagram - makitright - there are 10 pictures.
I am a slightly bigger than 7 5/8 guy and this...
Even more relevant...and my dog just dropped some compost in the garden...custom fedoras by great custom fedora makers usually sell for 100% less than original cost when they are sold with no pictures and no pertinent details.
Seller just get some phone pics up - you can use the Tapatalk app...
The other thing in all this...I need to start eBaying some of my (compared to this one anyway) pristine 50's Strats, OR's and Alessandria's in 7 5/8 and 7 3/4.
The heartache of parting will be somewhat eased at $900 a pop.
I am sure you guys are right about dating. Maybe it's the poor pictures, but this particular Vagabond King doesn't look like it has aged very well. It just doesn't look to have that tall straight crown of the era.
The seller - with his several additions and addendums - clearly states that he is withdrawing the 7 3/4 sizing statement - so going with "I bid on it because it was a 7 3/4" probably won't fly with eBay folks.
Your best case will be to go with the truth of your bidding error - adding an...
Stingy is a 60's thing. Maybe tall crown smaller brim (but not less than 2") could be 30's.
Definitely not 40's.
McAndrew is probably 60's based on its 2 1/2 " brim dimension. Could be mid to late 50's.
Nothing from 40's on this trip.
