I have found that one must watch the thread count. Too little, it's a cheapo. Too tight, then it can be as warm as felt. In addition, I have found Panama's that don't have a sweat band. Leave them alone. -

Don't apologize for not understanding why a person would wear socks with flip flops. For men, a certain type of undergarment is helpful at times when wearing swim trunks. As for the grade system, I have found it worthless. Make sure whatever you do get a Panama hat with a hat band in it. -
