Lol hey whatever gets the job done. Iv tried to do the same with mine but I can never catch the rain in my 618 so Im gonna do it your way the next time we have a good steady rain at the house. Its gotten so bad that when my wife rides with me on the Harley, she kids and tells me to wear the 618...
1. I love the look of Thedi jackets but iv heard a little of the same. I'm afraid they might not be the best for someone who actually rides. Its been a while since iv looked into the details for their leather but if i'm not mistaken, the veg tanned leather isn't coated and might not do the best...
I really appreciate all the comments guys, all the opponents and suggestions are very much appreciated.
I’m still up for any opponents as I’m still building up the funds before I can actually make a purchase anytime soon. Like I mentioned earlier, I don’t want to be in any hurry, want to be...
I really like that one a lot too. @Monitor mentioned the v7 earlier and it caught my eye then. I don’t know much about Vanson personally? What makes you guys think Vanson and the v7 a better choice when compared to, say.. LW J-100 and others?
Well it sure looks like your on the right track. That sure is a good looking jacket and your break in looks to be coming out beautifully. Iv saw some beautiful broke in Schott HH jackets, and some that doesn’t look good at all.
Like for example, where they do piece together the jackets the way...
sweetfights that’s one good looking jacket, that’s exactly what I’m leaning toward. Iv leanings towards the LW J-100 from day one. I wish I was a little more prepared in the wallet department at the moment or we would be making a deal right about now.
Looking great Roadking. Say the jacket seemed a little light? Any particular part of the jacket a lighter weight than the other or just the over all? The reason I’m asking, when I first took my 618hh out to the box, I noticed the forearm part of the sleeves seem maybe a lighter/softer than the...
About your typical cafe style cut I guess. Not too tight but still comfortable when wore casually. I tend to not care for them to be extremely short either. One thing that I don’t care for with my perfecto, how it tends to ride up the back occasionally when on my harley.
I’m 5”10, 180 pounds...
I think I’m gonna stay away from armor. Although I’m gonna be riding a lot, I’m gonna be wearing this jacket casually a lot too.
Sort of jacket that on a typical day if I decide to ride the bike to the office, wear the jacket though out the day casually. Ride the bike back home and wear it...
Hey guys I’m in need of some advice. I’m in the market for another cafe racer jacket. I don’t mind at all the be patient with this one. As long as it takes to get the right one no matter the wait or price.
Iv got several leather jackets but with this one, I want it to be absolutely perfect! No...
@Monitor I haven’t had the opportunity to wear it as I’d like to. Doesn’t fit my daily business attire as well as some of my others. Any suggestions on how to cut that shine down a little...besides just wearing the crap out of it lol? I’d still love to see a nice schott HH good and distressed to...
@Monitor @TREEMAN
Pulled out the 618hh today, still doing great! It’s breaking in amazing, I just wish the shine would calm down just a little more! The bottom three pics show what it looks like when the light bounces off of it.
It's doing great fellas! The 618HH is definitely one of my favorites! I don't have the opportunity to wear it as much as some of my other leathers, like my 141, mainly due to the style but what I have, it's broke in quite nicely!
Both the sleeves and the body have developed a beautiful...
@TREEMAN @Monitor
I tell ya what guys, its been a chore getting that HH broke In but she's finally starting to look really good.
Although my 618hh is really looking good, I gotta say my 141 is getting beautiful! I know we don't tend to get alot of feedback regarding naked cowhide around here...
I'm gonna tell ya, ya can't go wrong using Pecards! I started using it not long ago thanks to @Monitor and some others here at TFL and haven't looked back. Just to show ya, I added it to my naked cowhide schott 141 a month or so back and it's done nothing but make the jacket that much better...
Has anyone ever heard of or used 100% natural beeswax as a waterproofing/protective finish?
Iv read several places online about people applying straight 100% beeswax to their leather jackets/boots (either heating it up and making a paste or just rubbing it on like a bar of soap). Some seem to...
It's nice no doubt but I too don't care for the black hardware as much as the classic nickel.
Not to mention unless I just had money to blow, I'm not seeing $1500 here especially when compared to my $800 618 in horse that's just as nice and half the price
When it comes to the leather treatment discussion, I'm not sure why treating a leather jacket occasionally is being talked about as a BAD thing! It's leather! It's skin! That would be like a Neutrogena or some kind of lotion commercial coming on TV and the lady saying "I'm 50 years old, worked...
