I like that one of the blogs called it a stalk. That’s different than a tail, which I think is the more traditional association for that little part of the boina.

Also, very interesting yours point the same way (back) but not square with the label. So you don’t use the label to find the “front” of the hat, right?
I’m curious if you guys have preferences for how that little tail points when you put your berets on.
