    New Aero Website looks Great!!!

I have one! I got it a couple of years ago on evilbay. From the leather, label and YKK zip I'd say it was a very early jacket. Whether they did a run in the early days or it was a custom job I don't know

MONSIVIAS GINGER TWEED & SIMONDS CHOCOLATE LINEN CAPS for sale IN UK

Hello chaps I have two hand made caps by two of our favourite cap makers for sale on ebay, one unused and one hardly used. I expect these will be of most interest to UK and European loungers given the cost of transatlantic postage, but check the listing...

    Guernsey jumper

I've also got quite a few guernseys and jerseys, commercial, ex-Naval and hand-knitted.......probably too many, but you need good pullys up here, and they all get plenty of wear!

    Guernsey jumper

interesting you say that, I've seen a few on the streets recently here in Yorkshire too....even one on the back of the barman in our local. I also auctioned a few on evilbay before Christmas and they did better than usual. Odd how fashions come and go.

Bill Kelso A2 29971 cowhide, fit pictures.

The fit is excellent. It's just that with modern low-rise trousers that's what a properly cut A2 look like. Though I personally only ever wear mid-century high rise trousers, I think the short jacket/low rise look is fine on young slim guys....whereas if the jacket were any longer in the body...

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

There's a big brand mark up on all Lewis Leathers stuff I think, but then they have central London rents to pay and are dealing in relatively small production runs of detailed historical reproductions rather than simply making biker gear. Re-popping fittings, labels etc. isn't cheap......and a...

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

.....I've had my eye on those Atlantic boots for a while. I even sold these gems to put towards them - original late 50s/early 60s LL fur lined shortie engineers. Unfortunately didn't get as much as I hoped for them :(

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

anyone here seen these in the flesh - or own them? Lewis leathers recreation of a late 50s British take on the US Engineer boot - it would seem to have reverted to the original British riding boot cut. https://www.lewisleathers.com/productinfo.html?code=Atlantic209 Post war several companies...

    Inside pockets: yes or no?

I've just had a quick look at my 1st edition, well-used ELC "Luftwaffe" which shows no print through at all after nearly 30 years. The pocket is clearly constructed differently to the one on my Royale. The ELC pocket is a much simpler design, made in such a way that there is less welting and...

    Inside pockets: yes or no?

OK picture as requested.....It's actually more noticeable than the camera captures, but you can still see it. If you look on my right side (i.e. left side as facing) a couple of inches above the pocket at the two lower slash creases, you'll see a horizontal ridge joining the creases which...

    Inside pockets: yes or no?

the inside pocket on my new Royale shows a clear outline when the jacket is worn zipped up, and the outline is starting to "print" through the leather already. This is after three weeks! It is the standard Aero vertical pocket. The funny thing is, like many of you I have (or have had) the same...

Remember the leather jacket fad of the 70's?

I don't know about elsewhere, but here in the UK worn 1940s and 1950s leather jackets - especially WW2 flight jackets - were popular among dissident youth throughout the 1960s and 70s. Personally I got my first A2 around 1967 and my first Irvin around 1971. So when first the Indiana Jones, and...
