The jacket is raw and stiff so it flares out oddly at the moment. Perhaps I should see how it looks after it's broken in. And then switch to comet if I still don't like it
I have this Schott caf1 that I like, except that it flares at the hem. The front length of the jacket is 25" and the zipper is 21" long, which leaves a 4-inch gap between the end of the zipper and the hem.

I am considering replacing the zipper with a longer (24") 2-way zipper...
What can I use on a black leather jacket (cowhide) to bring some shine back? I looked up on Amazon and found conditioners like Bick's and Leather honey. And also minsk oil, which also waterproofs (not a need of mine).
Thanks
Is there a formula to figure out the right pit to pit measurement on a jacket for a given chest size? This is for online shopping and I need some help in sizing it.
I'm looking at getting an Aero CXFQHH board racer. My chest (with a layer) is 46" and my current lambskin cafe racer measures...
How are you finding your Hillside horsehide? I recently came across them and found their horsehide CR affordable. I know they are not Aero or Schott, but would you recommend it?
Anyone has experience with "VintageLeatheDesigns" on Etsy? It's a Hong Kong-based shop.
I am digging this cafe racer. Four things that line with preferences:
- Schott caf1 style front zipper
- hand warmer pockets
- single back panel
- the ability to customize the length to fit a tall person...
OK. Maybe that's my lack of experience with leather. Maybe the correct word was "creases" or "wrinkles". But looks like from the other comments, the jacket is fine.
Came across on eBay this Schott jacket with dry and cracked leather. I remember Schott selling a similar jacket as defective.
Can this be fixed with a leather conditioner?
thanks
