anybody have any pictures or know anything about it?

we recently got a statue from the lithuanian embassy with tags indicating it was displayed at the 1939 worlds fair. It's terra cotta and of cows, and it's signed. Beyond this, I know nothing.

You may want to try this link too...

Here's a site that's all about the '39 World's Fair.

http://xroads.virginia.edu/~1930s/DISPLAY/39wf/front.htm

There were so many exhibits and pavilions at the fair... there were rides, live stock exhibits, rail road and transpiration exhibits, ballrooms, bands, souvenir stands all over the place... not to mention places to eat.

I find the '39 Fair to be a fun and very interesting Fair... heck, it was the fair TV was introduced to the world!

The '33-34 Chicago World's Fair is very interesting too... I love the Century Of Progress history as well.

my dad was doing pictures of construction of the embassy. This was left behind along with some dead word processors and the like. I can't believe that someone would throw away art!
