Dear Loungers.
Every August, just around my birthday, we have the Norwegian version of the Royal Ascot.
Not anything near the British extravaganza, but great fun anyhow.
Have talked my daughters into a family dress-up next August.
An optimistic attempt on establishing a family tradition.
The three youngest was not hard to convince at all.
Gleeful smiling at the mere thought.
My oldest was more sceptical, but a casual remark about my continued sponsorship of her acting-classes tipped the balance.
The missus is competent with needle & thread, but we do need some assistance as to correct period-design (40s).
My thought for the three youngest (8-5-4) was white & blue sailor dresses, with matching hats.
The oldest (17) should have a classical military-inspired blouse, jacket & skirt with matching headware.
Any suggestions, pictures and/or patterns would be much appreciated.
