this sort of thing is very interesting and everyone owning leather stuff should have a look. Amazing how much mechanization/specialized equipment is used. So much for the "natural beauty" of leather, these hides had every natural element processed away. Also silly to think about artificial grain being added back in. Boy, LOADS of opportunities for workers to loose a finger or two. Your right, pretty rough treatment in the early stages but they don't show the roughest part that takes place when the animals are still alive!!!!!
