Here is my campaign hat project I just finished. The hat is a old Stetson XXX with a bound brim. I bought the hat to make a Span-Am style campaign hat and to cut down the brim, but the hat is in such good shape I couldn't bring myself to cut the brim. Because the brim is a little wide, I used a 1" ribbon and bow treatment. The bow is a copy of one of Dean's (Thanks Dean) :eusa_clap and I really like this style of bow. Dean urged me to start a new thread on this hat, so tell me what you think!

Campaign hat

Here is a hat I made two week's ago for a SASS shooter in Memphis. It has a 5 3/4" crown with a center dent, I wanted to bring the dent in tight but owner wanted to leave the wide dent. Has a 3" bound edge , with a 9 linge hat band and ribbon.

Owner put his acorn hat band on.

Sorry I am unable to post photos in the body of the message, and you have to hit the link to view the hat.

Looks great Duck!
Only problem is it's too clean! You probably ought to fall off of your horse a few times to get a more authentic look.....lol

That's a very good looking hat, Duckster.

To tell you the truth, it looks alot better on your head than it does on the table. I like it alot.
