I just saw Please Murder Me: it came on one of my 50-packs of DVDs from Amazon. It features Raymond Burr and Angela Lansbury. Very nice little film. Burr and Lansbury's husband were buddies in WW2; Burr and Lansbury have fallen in love. He tells his buddy who naturally gets a bit distraught (!) and a few days later Lansbury shoots her husband in "self-defense." She is, as you might guess, no innocent but a femme fatale.
Since Burr is a lawyer, he defends her: thrilling courtoom scene with intelligent arguments. Lots more.
Best line:
"she's not a woman, she's a disease."
Has anyone seen this little gem?
