So this is the latest flick from Zack Snyder, the insane director of 300 and Watchmen and I am genuinely impressed.
From what I can gather, this entire film takes place in the lead character's imagination. What we get as the audience from what I can tell is this:
Giant Japanese Evil Statues, Dragons, WWII era aircraft, Gangsters and their Burlesque show, and lots and lots of explosions and fighting.
The film has a very Japanese cinema feel to me, but don't let me be your judge, have a gander yourself
