UTTERLY ELEGANT! VINTAGE BROOKS BROTHERS "346" THREE PIECE SUIT
Made to measure. Functional surgeon's cuffs!
Tagged 40L. Measurements:
Chest: 21 1/2
Sleeve: 24 3/4 (+1)
Shoulder: 17 3/4
Length: 31 3/4
Waist: 16 1/4 (+ 1 1/2). Measured laid flat; double for size. Currently would fit c. 32 1/2 waist; could be altered to fit up to 35.)
Inseam: 29 (+3 1/4) (Could be altered up to 32 1/4" long)
Vest width: 19
Vest length: 26
This is wonderful! Cut from a lighter mid-weight wool this is a classic navy three piece suit from Brooks Brothers. It is from Brooks Brothers old "346" line, which used to be the upper mid-level tier of Brooks' offerings... and so far superior to almost anything Brooks offers today! It likely dates from the 1980s.
The jacket is a contemporary two button jacket with darting. It is half-lined and half-canvassed. It has a single center vent. It has four button cuffs--all of the cuff buttons are fully functional, which leads me to believe that this suit was Made to Measure.
The trousers are flat front and uncuffed. they fasten with their original Talon zipper which moves beautifully smoothly.
The vest features four functional front pockets. It has a rear waist adjuster.
This suit was Union Made in the USA.
With the exception of some very minor surface dust on the shoulders which will be easily removed by its first dry clean, this suit is in excellent condition.
Asking just $85, or offer, boxed, shipped, and insured in the USA.
