Lloyd, could you tell us what kind of fur that hat is and color, please? I really, really like that one!
...........
Congratulations to all of you.

That's a hare/beaver blend. Probably 40-50% beaver. Dark brown late 60s longhaired western felt, it's halfway to a Peluche.

Wow, beautiful! Green right? What color green? Also is that original from the factory or did you change the ribbon and welt? The ribbon kinda looks like leather. Nice how green can go with so many other colors of clothing.

Nice OR, Rusty, and a rare color I'd say. You seem to be picking up a few nice ones lately. Keep 'em comin'!

Veeeeery nice. If there was ever a particular hat suited for a particular head . . .

thanks...Up for Sale in the classifieds in the new year. ( I can pretty much date this hat as it has the hexagonal liner in red and Burlington street stamped on the sweatband, size 58. I like the LC bash, so the brim is trimmed. ) I wear this hat everyday with no sign of wear on the felt at all. just a little brush and that's all. I'm told by another authority that it is of the famous "cury" felt. But don't quote me on that. The felt though is really light but dense, and has a slight sued effect) I'm not that much of an indy fan, I do flirt with it now and then. If people want better pics I'll post them ) In the new year I'm buying another hat. And this probably needs a better home away from my 10yr old.

Gumbo.
