Michaelshane, was it really snowing that hard in New Mexico or did somebody nail you with a snowball and then snap a pic? Nice one!

rlk's been pulling out some great looking brown lids of late.

Rodkins - 100. It looks great on you!

Mr. P, I always admired the Hanover Squares. I think HP Gene had a couple. Yours is a unique color and you wear it well.

I was wearing my grey homburg like I do on and off, but I finally decided that after owning it for nearly five months, I was going to do what I had originally intended. I'm not sure about the homburg look on me, and I gave it a good amount of time too, to decide whether I liked my hat that way or not. So I already unbound the brim, and I'm going to be trimming it a bit as well. This is my favorite hat too, so I still intend to wear it; it's not really something I'd call a "beater" either, still in good enough condition to be very dressy, although there were some stains on the brim binding, a small hole and some marks in the back of the binding, and a lighter-colored smudge on the ribbon to begin with. I'll post a picture of it later.

I think this is a great hat, well worth the $120 I spent for it on eBay, and I'm going to be wearing this more often than I had otherwise. I just think that it's more wearable for me, now.

P.S. The brim is at 2 inches in width all around. On me at least, it still looks a bit "wide." I may have found my ideal width though.

Thanks for the encouraging comments! I hope I'm not pushing my luck too much with another entry... this time with a more sports/casual outfit.

I think you are correct about the ideal width. You are in the ball park. Excellent job cutting the brim!

Steve, Allen, Torpedo: all good stuff. Thank you for the view.
