I'd have to agree with Fluteplayer. Even though he and I were on amiable terms, he did seem a bit confrontational to others on the Lounge. Oh well.

Still, it's too bad. I miss his posts. But you do get a lot of turnover in the Lounge from one year to another, I see. When reading posts from 2005, 2006, 2007 and so on, the cast of characters is completely different. Many of the regulars then had thousands of posts, but you don't see them now. I suppose it's the nature of online forums...or fora...or fauna...or whatever the plural of "forum" is.

Huh...that's not the only Akubra model made for Outback Trading that looks completely different from its brethren. I recall Mobile Vulgus' Akubra Pastoralist being a similar scenario. Anyway, thanks for the info! Looks good on you.

Thanks. Another possibility is that they use surplus sweatbands on the hats for Outback Trading. Since they aren't in the regular product line they probably don't have names so Akubra might slap on whichever sweat band is available. Just a guess. It's a nice hat. Sort of Western, sort of Outback, modest brim. It's easy to wear with any casual outfit. I've upgraded it with a braided natural leather hat band. I like it a lot.

Forum is the latin for a group discussion. Fora is indeed the plural. I liked Vulgus' posts as well. You can't be too thin skinned on the internet. It is still a fairly rough and tumble place.

Phineas, you don't see those every day. I like variety...

Billy, I always enjoy your posts in and about London. Saw your Chinatown pics with the gates and it brought back memories. Thanks for posting.
