It's appreciated that some Members who have ordered jackets through many of the manufacturers who make vintage inspired jackets, just 'can't wait' to get *that jacket* on their backs :)

There seems to be a *need* for some to gauge 'waiting times' with other Members, and so...this is the thread for ALL those jackets, irrespective of make.

*However* we would 'always' advise that it is always best to communicate *directly* with the manufacturer, rather than assume what 'might be' happening at their end - OK? ;)
(As we are not here to feed a Rumour Machine - which is sadly always a danger when assumptions are made and conclusions jumped to).

PLEASE 'Be Aware' that some manufacturers have a larger workforce or work load than others and that will effect their ability and timings to get 'your' jacket from the factory to your door (and your back!).

And, as excited and enthusiastic as you are (and I've been there folks as a 'Jacket Head')
...PLEASE EXERCISE PATIENCE - as good things do come to those who wait ;)(and these are not 'off the rail' mass produced mall items - they are fairly niche and available because 'enthusiasts' just 'like you and me' have gone out on a limb and decided to make them available).

Just REMEMBER ONE THING Please - Deal directly with the maker and keep good communications open so that ALL PARTIES know where they are at and why :)

This is surely the way to go folks. Paddy is quite correct, any issues regarding the wait time for a jacket should be discussed directly with the maker, thereby preventing misunderstandings from being aired here.

ELC are always very quick off the mark, which is one advantage of their business model emphasising standardisation. I believe ELC's approach is to sell a 'stock' jacket, i.e. when you order from them, they check to see whether they have your size in stock, as opposed to Aero who make the jacket to your size on receipt of your order. I have A2s from both labels, both equally great jackets. Can't speak to waiting time on those as they were both bought used. My Aero Bootlegger took about twelve weeks from order to completion during the Spring of 2010. The Aero Waterfront I ordered around the same time arrived within a month.

I ordered an Aero 30's HB with a few custom features on January 7, 2011. Estimate at time of order was 10-12 weeks. It's been a little over 14 weeks now. Hope to have it soon.

Recently asked question about how long a wait for an Aero jacket......
Last Aero I ordered about 6 months ago was given an estimate of 12 to 14 weeks. Received in in 13.
Ordered another one last week. Given an estimate of 14-16 weeks.

(I order directly through Amanda at Aero.)

Ordered a custom Bootlegger the end of January but in the end of March I added a custom Motorcycle lace-up jacket to my order to avoid another waiting period. Both Jackets are done and shipping Tuesday. Could have shipped this week but needed the delivery adjusted to next week.
No additional wait to add second jacket and shipping for both jackets the same as one jacket.
18 weeks total wait time not including the last week for shipping delivery change.
But during that 18 weeks the factory was also closed a week for vacations.

I ordered a 1930's HB on January 13th, Amanda sent me a mail last week to tell me that they're going to begin to make my jacket. She also apologies for the delay.

I have to choose another tartan because the one I chose was unavailable.

I got an email from Amanda this morning saying that my jacket is ready! Does anybody know how long the shipping time is from the UK to the eastern US?

I have ordered 4 jackets, one from Aero, one from Lost Worlds, one from Langlitz, one from Goodwear.
Aero: about exactly what Amanda told me it would be when I ordered, don't remember exactly but was 5 months or so--it was a pretty standard jacket. Lost Worlds was 4 weeks, a couple weeks sooner than predicted. Langlitz was a complete custom jacket top to bottom, I got it in 4 weeks (they told me in the store it would be several months, but for some reason, there it came!). Goodwear ordered last November, I think. Still waiting, which is fine, autumn/winter still a bit away.
