What a happy way to start a new year. He's a beauty. Actually, you all look pretty beautiful. Enjoy the puppy months... they go by so fast.

Blackthorn, all I can say is I'm absolutely green with travel envy! Beautiful photos of what appears to be an amazing city. About twelve years ago I skipped Venice to see a whirlwind version of Rome, Milan, Napoli, and Capri. Twelve years ago... jeez I'm getting old. Nice lids too, of course!

The street in downtown Minneapolis to which you refer is Nicollet Avenue, better known as Nicollet Mall. Vibrant and energetic, with Saks, Neiman-Marcus, and Macy's anchoring a host of very nice specialty shops, clubs, and restaurants, all accessible via the skyway system.

It is true that many would find the Minnesota Winter harsh and inhospitable, but this is an overstatement, I believe. Minnesota is a terrific place to live, and I certainly would not let our much maligned Winter weather deter you!

Nicollet Mall---oh yes; I must have walked up and down that street at least a hundred times, visiting shops, dept. stores, cafes, etc. Incredible atmosphere and energy on Nicollet Ave. I miss it. But....I have some pretty deep roots here in Dallas, so no relocating for awhile.
