Tom - very nice indeed. I like the colour way better than the auction photo made it out to be - it's a fantastic Stratoliner.

Ale - another great hat. Yours is a darker grey than my grey one and it looks fabulous!

Guys those are hats perfect for going places! Thats right, just like the advertisements say - perfect for going places. They wear well in so many situations.

Al and Vet, they really are pretty Strats. Wear and enjoy those fine hats. Eric -

Thanks much, guys. Normally I leave sweat bands alone but this one is just crunchy enough to need a little help, so I'll be treating it tonight.

I owned at one time an unlined early Strat that did NOT indicate vita-felt, and yet the "regular" felt was extremely light with a balance between soft and firm that was awe inspiring. A hat shapers dream. My current strat is from the 50s, lined, reeded, and is almost a winter-weight, though it has a luxurious hand to it. still on the hunt for another of the early streamlined lids

Shades of green on Valentines Day 2012.

I would like to introduce you to my green Stetson Stratoliner. It is a mint 50's Stetson. The liner is sparkly white and clean. The leather is clean and minty. The hat has the better version of felt that I have owned in the Stratoliners. Not all Stratoliners were created equal. It is more clay-like when creasing than my brown or gray. This ability is as it is softer and bit thicker. The true king of Strat. felts, at my house, is the silverbelly. It rules. This hat is leaning in that class.

Very pleased at the classical lines of this green Stratoliner model. "A Hat for Going Places."

Thank you for taking a look and allowing me to share. Eric -

What an awesome find, Eric! I agree with your assertion that silverbelly is king but I certainly love green hats and that strat is spectacular! Sure you'll hear it often but color me green with envy...

From what I have touched, the Stratoliner Royal Deluxe, was the felt of highest quality in this line. Not all silverbelly's are the same. That said - I have a soft spot for the styl'n lines of this model.

Thanks for the comments. Eric-
