I really haven't seen too many A-2's that had the 8th etc painted on them , or for that matter the cloth ones sewn on either,Usually the A-2's had the "satndard" AAF decal on them if at all, usually the patches were on the Ike's or the pinks/greens , but as anything else there were exceptions .
