This is a early 40's Black Bear trucker jacket that I have you can see how high it sits.

This jacket is WAY cool!

Very smart. Looks quite long. Jack, how tall are you, may I ask, and what size were you wearing? This looks as if it could really solve a dilemma for me (admittedly not on a par with the Israel/Palestine conflict, say, but still a tough 'un). That is, I want a trim-fitting button-up Aero, wool-lined, that I can wear in the colder months. It has to be trim; I don't carry extra weight and HH is so heavy I hate having any excess. So a solution could be just to order the Maxwell longish.

What do you reckon Carrie? You're more expert than I am. I'm just over 6', so what body length in the jacket would you recommend?

And I guess it could take inside pockets?

For comparison..here is the normal Aero Stuart in FQHH with added body and sleeve length in my normal size(40).
Body:26 1/2" Sleeve: 26 1/4". I'm 6'2" 185 lbs.

Only ten custom production slots left through Insurrection/Thurston Bros. for May production at the Aero factory!

*Production allotment for North American customers only.

Wow, Aero really is in demand. It'd be a bit desperate to order one from Britain through the US!

Carrie, I'd obviously order a jacket through Scotland (it's a lot less distance from Galashiels to London than from Seattle) but I like your tailoring approach there -- trim fit, longer arms, longer body. So would welcome your thoughts on ordering a Maxwell long for warmer winter wear, ie around 27" long. I'm 6'. What do you think? Or would 28" even work? Or would that distort the look of this jacket?

Thanks, SJ

Naive question, but is that 'production allotment' the norm?
I know that this often occurs on EBay when a buyer chooses not to ship to particular destinations, but is a supplier entitled to prohibit sales to buyers from other continents?
In the UK it would be unusual.

Major, I don't follow. That's precisely what I was referring to. Obviously, I couldn't order through Insurrection unless I finally abandoned the UK as too cold and gloomy and moved back to the States. No, I like the way Insurrection style the jackets and so am seeking advice.

I'm sure Aero would do a Maxwell for me, even though it's an "Insurrection" design.

Plenty of US companies who wont ship outside the US. Been discussed on here before.

I would think this particular case is a distribution agreement with Aero. Insurrection will get production slots on the basis that they are not competing with Aero for UK custom.

Bunyip, what don't we pay silly prices for mate? If there's any way the government,
a big company or a financial institute can think of to rip us off, we cop the lot.

Aero is expanding its 1920s/1930s/1940s reproduction offerings on a monthly basis!

Here's a 1930s Californian that we think is the bee's knees! We would need to shift the chest pocket a little to the left in Aero's production, but otherwise the jacket has a solid base design for a C/X FQHH or C/X Steerhide Aero...

Hat tip to Insurrection / Thurston. I just placed my first order through them (previously had gone through Aero directly). Enjoyed working with Wade as much as I have enjoyed working with Holly. Looking forward to my Two-Tone jacket... although since I went with antique black on antique black would that be Mono-Tone? Mono-Chrome?
