It's been a disappointing hat week for me. First, the 4X Resistol conversion, (that John Galt actually did a fabulous job on), I've now decided that I don't want an Indy type hat as badly as I thought I did. Then another hat which was supposed to arrive two days ago, via USPS, has dropped off the radar. The US Postal Service, who incidentally, just raised postage rates, can't find the damn hat! ...and don't believe for a second that you're going to get to talk to a live operator over the phone! I sent USPS an email, but I still haven't received a reply within the time frame they promised on their website. You'd think that taxpayers would finally get fed up with the inept operations of our various branches of government!...and they raise our taxes because government employees and office holders want salary increases for their crappy work! If the White House and the Congress, and including every other branch of government had to survive on performance based pay, they'd all starve to death! Where's my damn hat USPS?!....

Anyway, no waste of tax dollars to say that you guys are looking great today.

David, Your VS Dove is one fabulous hat!
dh66, Thanks buddy for your comment on my Resistol conversion. Seems I'm the only one who doesn't like it that well. It's definitely a nice hat though.
S 4 Cache, good choice...I would have went with the fedora too! Looks good buddy.

For me on this bone chilling morning from Central Ohio it's the Stetson Suede Finish Imperial for me. This is another hat that I'm giving serious consideration to trading off,...

Looking good as usual, TJones! What size hat are you? I may be interested in the brown IJ style hat if you are considering a sale. ;)

I, too, have had USPS issues. Blast!
Thanks buddy. It's a 7 1/8 Long Oval. I'm still mulling it about. It's a fabulous hat and John Galt did a fantastic job on it. It's probably the most comfortable hat I own. But, I'm just not liking the style as much as I thought I would. Since you were the first to ask about it you'll definitely be the first to know once I've made up my mind what I'm going to do with it. I would prefer trading it out, but for something substantial.

Thanks Manfred & Dale

Cute kid Historyteach, she's growing fast!

T Jones: The Indiana style hat looks good on you.

Mayserwegener: Definitely a Superbe hat.

Strapped-4-cache = to my eye the Jeeves look is a better fit for you.

Nice black Stetson Perry.

For today: VS Max

Hmmmm. 7 1/8? Wish I had something worth trading for it. Looks like a nice hat.

JoaoHa! Lucky you were quick enough to catch it! Otherwise that fine Western may have ended up over here in the States!...on an Amish guy's head! ;) ...thanks for the comment on my Resistol conversion.
Hope not. Postage is very expensive to get it back :)

Good look Joao. I always enjoy your posts. That yellow building in the background in some of your shots reminds me a whole lot of an apt. I lived in briefly in Kiev. European architecture is so different than what is around where I live now.
That building is 30-40 years old. Modern buildings are not made like that anymore. "Tradicional" buildings are very different from the North to the South of my country. Been in London were everything is different!

Too bad it ended that way.

I think my Akubra vanished somewhere. Aussie tracking number does not work because the service used does not support tracking (why do they give a number anyway?) Because of that I don't know were to ask for it. It may be lost on a flight connection or still being delayed... all I know it was dispatched on December, 23th.

Inspired by Joao, a Stetson Western, but not as impressive a size.
Cool!

T Jones - I think the Indiana look will grow on you with time. It looks good.

Mayserwegener - I agree with Sam, definitely a Superbe hat.

time to cite just a couple before I pick up the kiddos.

Teach-- great shot with your cute kid! Those CRMs are really fantastic.

David, verrrry classy.

Perry, MAN, now that is a look for you!

Alan, this is one of my favorite westerns. Applause!

jhe888 - not someone I've come across, but I see your point :D

Thanks Jeff & Perry - it's a once in a while thing (Perry - it used to be almost a uniform in my late teens ;) ).

Very sharp look with the black Richard.
Also a good look in the black for you Alan. Very nice western.
Hatophile it looked like a bound edge on my phone picture, that's why I asked, and the brim looks smaller than many westerns. Nice one either way.
Bunch of folks walking the line today:thumbup:
