Interesting that mid weight horse and jerky horse is labeled as 2oz. That's pretty light. I always thought it was closer to 2.5oz.

Once all the Chinese millionaires understand that Aero has cachet I'm sure they will start pilling in with the orders to get a little conspicuous consumption going on. But the question is, when Chinese customers start offering double or triple price to queue jump waiting lists, what will happen?
Will Aero start changing it's patterns for asian body types?
Maybe some Chinese billionaire will just buy the whole company.

I can see some of those things happening, though I very much doubt the company will change hands. I believe Ken has already refused to sell at least once.

Another thing I can foresee happening will be Ozzy Osbourne's people going after them for trademark infringement, or infringement of copyright in the Ozzy logo design, or possibly both. Extremely blatant on that front (I'm sure it's no coincidence; heavy metal is very much alive and screaming in China, and its more well-heeled fans are an obvious market for this style of jacket).

The jackets look great. Some of the bling studding is a bit much for my tastes, but the J106 looks fantastic in cordovan...

Mn... if the model photos are pirated, I'd start to suspect there might be a possibility none of it is legit. Stranger tings have happened... There have been cases of entire Mercedes cars being counterfeited, and they there was that incidence of the counterfeit Apple stores where even employees beileved they were working for Apple.... On the upside, if it's all fake, it vertainly means Aero have arrived in China, in brand-awareness terms!

Ah, China's trademark and intellectual property legislation, even a Minotaur could get lost in that... They do have a Chinese customer base, though, so it could be legit. Hard to tell, though even if it isn't, the pics are legit, so at least they are good reference material.

This is true. When I was in China, years ago, I randomly met some local guy who had a AVG M422a repro, that was made by Aero.

Aero should probably do an Alexander leathers on the vid front, completely redo the website with professional pics that show off the magnificence of the leather. It'd probably increase sales by 10%. SJ

Ha.... it's a difficult clash, really - there's a long history of being free and easy with other folks' IP, but ever since China joined the WTO in 2003, there's been increasingly an effort out there to clamp down. Could well be legit Aero bits (though even under Chinesed law, I think the Ozzy Osbourne stuff is iffy!)- there certainly are folks out there who have Aeros... this is, after all, the sort of niche community where word of mouth counts for a lot. And the ease of access the web brings for consumers... jjinkies, that's been something.

They've been slowly remodelling the website and putting up new pictures which definitely helps. I'd like to see more fit pictures, but I know they're reluctant to use actual models because it does hit their marketing, as Holly has said in the past. Pity - I didn't care for the video approach myself (for the most part, I find far too many websites have far too much video stuff - I'd always much prefer to read or see photos, for the most part), but I really like John's fit photos on the Goodwear site.

Of course, this kinda presumes that Aero need to increase sales... givne how busy they are, they might not feel the need as is. [huh]

equally don't always assume Chinese Fake = Bad ....

I did an investigation about 4 years ago where the manufacturers container ( a plastic bottle) had taken 3 years to design and manufacture yet the Chinese forgers had managed to produce a higher spec and better manufactured bottle than the OEM in less than 1 month .. in fact the only way I could spot the forgeries in a benchtop test was that they were better than the originals

Doesn't hold for all things ... but they are sometimes incredibly good ..... scarily so !!!

The pics are very good, but all that print crowding into the frames give them a claustrophobic feel. Anyone miss the photos of our pre-Thurston American distributor who shall go unnamed?
