I especially like old radio buildings:

Great pics Dan and Reno.

What was called the world's largest McDonalds was over Interstate 44 near Vinita, Oklahoma. Not sure what is there now. Maybe a McDonalds and a SubWay.

We had a cool radio station building in town. I think it is now an environmental engineering agency.

Well behind the front lines!
Highway 27 through Florida had a lot of places like this. Then I-10 and it's connection to I-75 and 95 later on came through north of there and killed all that. I got to see some of these places as a kid but drove through the area a few years back and saw it was ALL gone. I hope someone compiles a book of photos of some of these tourist traps and hotels there, someday...

This is the Wardman Theater in 1937. First opened in 1931 as a single-screen theater with a seating capacity of 1,000, it's the last remaining theater in my home town of Whittier, California.

Not a high quality photo, but the angle gives you a better idea of how the front of the building looked. This photo was taken in the 1970s.

And this is pretty much how it looks today. The building was severely damaged by the Whittier Narrows earthquake in October of 1987 and the theater remained closed until Starlight Cinemas bought the property, turned the single-screen theater into an eight-screen mini-multiplex, and renamed it the Whittier Village Cinemas.

And this is a closer view of the theater's entryway as it looks now. That small structure in the middle of the photo is the former box office.

Cool theatre Zombie. Thanks for the series of pics.

Excuse these poor, back-lit photos. This Texaco sign is about 3 miles out of Cabool, MO in a cow pasture. It was painted over on the side facing the road, but is slowly returning to original. No evidence of the station exists other than the sign.
