Nice to see it! How would you say the weight of it is in comparison to Aero's other leather offerings?

It's very much a mid-weight leather. It makes an excellent A-2 hide.

replying nearly 8 years later...
yes, agreeing with the above; enjoying the battered steer hide aero 'quartermasters' / trainee jacket made 'real deal' economic style i.e. mismatching panels.
this feels pretty thick still (tried and returned a smaller sized version that felt more pliant)
putting it here as this is where searching for this leather type led me...
