Eric, that hat is simply awesome!

Rclark; Thanks. I do find myself reaching for my pine green vtg.Stetsons often. I worry about loving' them to an early demise.

that's awesome Eric ... sometimes we get lucky and find one of those perfectly proportioned hats ... you did that with this one

Moon; Thanks sir. The compliment on hat and good fortune means a lot. Perseverance and vigilance should be long suits for those of us hunting for special vintage fedoras.

Enjoying the hat show folks! Man you guys and gal have style.

Been sick at home the past couple of days. Hoping that my light blue Strat assists in my attemp to rally today. I also apologize to Tommy for my attemp to emulate his coolness with my "over the goggles" shot!

Another perfect "over the goggles" , rclark! Wishing you a speedy recovery. Any coolness I may have I picked up is from associating with You fine folks!

Back to this Borsalino again. It's the one I automatically grab when I'm running out. Brim down to mix it up a little

these two pieces right here embody everything that is wonderful about fur felt hats .... just absolutely fantastic fellas

'Tis a bright sunny morning here in Virginia Beach.
Today I am wearing the C&K 1950s homburg. For some reason, this hat just makes me so darned happy. Silly...

Early tomorrow, the family and I fly to Denver to visit my earliest and best friend from childhood and beyond who is very sick. So, today I have to figure out the one hat I will take with me. Oh... decisions, decisions...

Have a terrific Friday eve, all.
Good choice. Sending healing hopes to you and your best friend.

All best wishes for your ailing pal, Matt. You're a good friend!!
Hope you're back in action soon, too, Rick.
Life's been pulling hard on me this week, thus the irregular posts.
You all are superbly on your hat games!!

Now I'm busy packing for a visit to watch our son play pro (second tier, "farm team") basketball in Israel. We'll be accompanied by a daughter and her hubby, while another daughter and hubby mind the homefront for us. Haven't been on a trip like this since my two-month, cross-country honeymoon, 37 years ago!

What hat to pack....

I'll try to post a pic of my Thursday TAR, my whiskey VS, in a bit.

On the picking of hats...

I think that my pick for the Denver trip just came today.

ASCO Hats derby likely from the 1910s or early 1920s.

What better hat to wear west than a derby (and one made in the West)... the quintessential hat of the history of the American West?

I posted some stuff on the bowler thread about this hat and the company history, if anyone is interested. http://www.thefedoralounge.com/index.php?posts/2053779 http://www.thefedoralounge.com/index.php?posts/2053757

(Yes, I am geeking out about this one) [emoji6]
