Catching up on the Big Bang Theory, saw the episode where Amy FF is dating during her break with Sheldon. Stephen Merchant is the date, and he's more interested in a bromance with Sheldon whose reputation he's familiar with.
Rumors began circulating yesterday that the next season/series of The Big Bang Theory will be the last, but no one connected with the show is willing to confirm or deny those rumors...so far, anyway.

I would miss it, but would understand. It's had a great run. Some complain it's a one-joke show, but then, every show is...

Game 1 of the 1957 World Series, via an AFRTS kinescope recently released on DVD. Joe Adcock looks like an entirely different species compared to the rest of the players. And I'd forgotten how hokey those three monuments looked out in deep center field at Old Yankee Stadium. Hit it into the graveyard!

Does it have the radio feed or the TV announcers? Or do you have a choice. I'd much rather hear the radio guys if I had a choice.

Has to be. Once you marry, or at least long-term-partner-off, all the boys, it can't run much longer. I just hope they don't try to be "clever" and ruin it the way the writers totally ruined How I met your stepmother.

I agree. I'd much rather they end it while it's still entertaining rather than have it overstay it's welcome.

I never watched Stepmother, but I understand your point. I've seen too many shows in which the male and female lead characters suddenly fall in love, or they're already in a relationship and start having children, and suddenly the tone of the show changes drastically and becomes something else; usually something unwatchable. So far The Big Bang Theory has managed to "partner-off" the four main male characters without changing the overall tone of the show, so I'm hoping they'll be able to continue that until they call it quits.

Mostly Skin Wars, but a little bit of hockey. I was too tired to stay up and finish watching the game (it went into OT), but I was glad to see this morning that my team won last night :)

Big Bang has definitely started to feel like it's coming to a natural end for me. All that's left to happen is for them to stop shoe-horning Raj into unconvincing relationships.
They do seem to be having difficulty finding an actress that has believable chemistry with Kunal Nayyar, don't they? I thought Kate Micucci was a good fit, but they chose to make Lucy far too quirky and awkward. Alessandra Torresani (Claire) isn't a horrible match so far, but it seems the writers are determined to make sure Raj remains a bachelor so we'll have to see how that plays out.

From only being able to speak to women when drunk, to double-timing two hotties.

I used to dream of being like that.

Still do on occasion...

Heh. Funnily enough, that progression didn't necessarily bother me, it's more that I've never been convinced that any of the women they've shown him with would ever have put up with him for five minutes. Mind you, on that front, there's no was the Penny / Leonard relationship would ever last five minutes in the real world either (even if he does put up with some appalling treatment because he's so pathetically grateful she'll look twice at him - that at least does ring true). The Sheldon / Amy is the most convincing IMO. Though Stuart's 'bromances' with Howard and Raj really worked. I'm glad they at least didn't go down the cheap and obvious route of making Raj gay, though I wish one of these shows just once would have the gumption to actually make a character gay where it makes sense. Like Joey off Friends.

Was that the girl he took on the "library date"? I loathed her. Just grated on me every second she was on screen.

Is that the redhead? I've missed a lot of this last series owing to the channel it's shown on here messing around with days and timeslots. I'll probably just give up and wait for them to put season 9 on Netflix...
