With the venting you're going to have to stay with a Cattleman crease or push it to an open crown. Not any other options that I can think of.

I've been entertaining the thought of buying a straw open road for awhile now. Glad I haven't yet. I REALLY dig the venting on that one.

I love the design. What is bad with shantung? I am asking because I don't know anything about how it compares to hemp or toquilla.

The 10X will have a much better weave than the current 6X. I'll know soon what they look like. I ordered a few of each yesterday and they had some of the darker ones in stock.
The natural will have to be made and will probably take a couple months.

Just got a few of the Toast colored ones in today.

It is the same body as we use in the standard straw Western Hats. They are very nice. Unfortunately for me they sent me samples that are to small for me to wear.
