Yes. Relatively quickly easily and inexpensively. Dresses up the raw edge a bit and makes it interesting.
Yes. Italian. Quality hat. Probably a FEPSA hat body. Nice dense felt but still very soft. Pounced extremely well. Hats Plus in Chicago still carries them. $125-$150.
They had to take out the front pinch and add the pencil curl. Gary at the Hat Store is a real artist
