I grew up eating at this place.
It was good to be back.

In the Eastlake neighborhood of Birmingham, AL. Not exactly an up and coming part of town these days. No neon left on this one. I'm surprised there's anything left of it at all. Maybe it should be in the ghost signs thread.

Tweaked a bit to get rid of the more-modern glass front and you have the opening shot from a film noir movie (especially the second floor of both of those buildings).

This was over in my Grandma's neighborhood when I was growing up. Just down the street from the donut factory.

This one is long gone, but the photo with the truck was worth sharing. The sign company is still in business and still does neon.
