Eventually it will be warm again and the shearling B6 goes back in into hibernation. What jackets do you pull out for those cooler summer nights?

Warm weather here is over 100 degrees so even a shirt is overkill!

In less severe summer days I wear unlined work utility jackets like a Dikies Eisenhower or a Baracuta G4 on summer morning chills.

I hear you Seb, I wish we could wear jackets during summer.

I tried wearing my Belstaff light weight waxed trailmaster as a raincoat as it was pouring rain today but the humidity made it hell.

Irvin/Anj-4/LHB for late-autumn/winter; LHB/Dustbowl/Board Racer for Spring; Board Racer/A-2/Old Town coat for summer/early autumn.

My summer leather jacket is a Wested Raiders in lightweight lambskin with an all-cotton lining. My other warm weather jackets include repros of the WWII M-41 field jacket and the British belted bush jacket. Cotton is king!

My slightly heavier leather jackets - the A-2s and G&B M-422A, Schott 654 - reign in the spring and fall.

Members Only cotton blend, light and with some rain resistance. Most of the time it's too hot in the summer here in Canada for jackets.

Till the end of May and beginning of June I have a very nicely tailored London Fog short jacket (rear shoulder gussets... otherwise it's shirtsleeves and Milans...

What about warm weather rain jackets? Must I go buy some garish Gore-Tex monstrosity,
glued together in a Chinese sweatshop?

The wife bought me this for X-mas. I've been wearing it when the weather cooperates.

Warm weather as in spring, autumn or mild winter days, I'll be sporting a Carhartt chore coat or a denim jacket, in july, august & the best part of september, even a thick shirt can be unbearable at times.

We're on the cusp of me being able to hang up the N3B for the season and wear my leathers again (can't wait!). Once the weather turns for the worse once more (anything north of 15 celsius), I will eventually, reluctantly, hang up most of the leathers and reach for one of a range of cotton jackets, mostly 'Harrington' types - or just a blazer / suit jacket. I miss my leathers during the worst of the Winter, but in Summer I miss my leathers *and* hate the weather! :p

For springtime weather I will often pull out the Vanson Stadium Jacket. When it gets even warmer, there is a khaki London Fog windbreaker, purchased new when I was about 19 years old and rediscovered by me about four years ago. And it still fits. Whenever I choose to wear it my wife tells me I look like "someone" she remembers having seen on TV. I'm thinking: "James Bond!?" She's thinking: "Mr. Magoo......"

At the immediate risk of having my FL membership eternally revoked I have to confess that I recently decided to knuckle under and throw some money at some lighter-weight clothing from some well-detested mall-store sales pages. Among the items I got was a beautiful, light-as-a-feather cotton black and white houndstooth sport jacket (Tommy Hilfiger!) from Nordstrom Rack and a Chambray shirt from Orvis (who I recently slagged) and that Im going to order another of because it is incredibly comfortable. Never say never.

Summer here in Sunny Middle Tennessee does not lend itself to jackets, even at night. For the spring, fall and mild winter days, I go with the A-2, mostly unzipped. If it is cool enough to zip it up, I usually go with a more substantial jacket.

Fairly warm: A-2 & Cafe Racer (Brooks), if it gets very warm then my A-1 or L-2B when the Sun dips :)

Yeah the question sounds funny to those of us in Oz! Plenty of days around the 107 degree mark on the old scale out in the west of Sydney. Forget saving for a leather jacket - I got to
save just to pay my next electricity bill courtesy of the need to have the air con running!
